Give me Coffee or Give me Death.

Apparently we've had enough laying around! It is time to start seeing more of this beautiful island. Yesterday started off with a bit of rain. Just a mini torrential downpour. It kept me from running (oh darn!) but was finished by the time we were heading out the door. Our first stop was the Kauai Coffee Company. I was hoping to learn a little something....

This was a mini tourist trap. It would have been neat to have gone on an actual tour of the factories like they do in Tillamook, instead we watched a video then walked around some of the coffee plants.

There was coffee to taste!

They had a table for dark, medium and flavored roasts.

There were fields and fields of coffee.

They did have a guy out using the machine that takes the cherry off of the plant.

Then we went to a glass beach that was recommended by my bestie Ashley ;)

Lots of little pieces, I'm guessing most of the good stuff has been picked over by people.

The beach is so glassy because right next door is a factory.

Hawaiian cemeteries are pretty creepy.

Then we headed over to the Koloa Farmer's market.
It was an actual farmer's markets, not just a craft show with some produce like we have.
It was fun to look around at all of the different types of fruits....
And to get some fresh coconut water!

Another beautiful sunset!
